Creative "Surrealismo Cotidiano" Film Photography Project by Isabel Val

Isabel Val is a 27-year-old Spanish photographer, based in Budapest. “I learnt analogue photography processes when I was still studying in the arts school in Barcelona. Suddenly, I had a lot of new photographic possibilities to explore so, for me, analogue photography and experimentation have always been together. Most of my personal work is shot with film. When I am using film, I think more and I take more decisions and I think this is the best way to improve. Also, I feel much more free because I can experiment a lot and have much more fun!”

Isabel is really a creative photographer. The analogue project called "Surrealismo Cotidiano" she shot with a Pentax K1000 and different kinds of black & white film, then painted the negatives with concentrated watercolour pigments. “The project I started at the end of 2014, when I was still living in Barcelona and I am continuing it here in Budapest.”
