New York in the 1970s was a place of great change. The urban diaspora took hold as more and more baby boomers had children and moved to the suburbs. Photographer Richard Friedman grew up in New York City and the suburbs of Long Island; he has been taking pictures since the late 1950s with Nikon cameras such as: Nikkormat, Nikon F, Nikon FM or Nikon F2. Here's a collection of wonderful colour photographs of New York City taken by Richard from the late 1960s to early 1970s.
