"A Great Musician" Film Photography by Boozi Barak

Boozi Barak is a 29-year-old Israel-based photographer who is from Jerusalem. “I first started taking photos 11 years ago with a Minolta, and haven't stopped since then really. I shoot mostly people and some nature. I also own a digital Nikon but I'm having much more fun shooting with analogue, and the results are incredible. I really like the atmosphere in film photography, the grain, the colours, how everything is one piece.”

Boozi, also known as Oz, who has been featured once on Shooting Film came back to share with us his other film photography project that he shot his friend, “Moti is a great musician. This series was shot with a Nikon FE2 and a 35mm lens.”

  1. Hi, thanks for this inspiring article, definitely worth a try!
Just a quick question; as you're suggesting 12 minutes for an ISO 400 color film, I was wondering what time you use for films of speeds of ISO 100, and ISO 200.
    Thanks in advance, Matteo
