Kate Auerbach is a Russian photographer, based-in Boston, Massachusetts. “Just before I left Russia in 2012, I found my dad's old camera, a Zenit ET and started shooting film. I learned the basics of the analog photography on my own.”
Kate is currently a graduate Ph.D. student at Tufts University after obtaining her bachelor's (2009) and master's (2011) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Chucash State University in Russia. “When I bought my 1938 Leica IIIa, I realized that this camera requires me to put more time and effort into mastering film photography. I am trying to catch up on this now, and you can see some of my attempts on my website.”
