Black and White Portrait Film Photography by Fred Fogaça

Fred Fogaça is a 25-year-old Brazilian photographer, based-in Sertãozinho, Sao Paulo. He started photographing in the end of 2013, since then has been shooting on film only.

Fred had been a teacher on electrical subjects in a technical school. He loves to travel around and shoot nature, urban areas, and portrait, especially on black and white film.

  1. There is a quotation that photography is a painting that artist draw with light. In these photographs, I don't see a talented artist, just a man that has a good light-brush. Unfortunately, the best b/w photos were made in the end of 80s before all of the fancy cameras were invented. It's just those people had a talent. They thought ahead of what they want to draw, not just trying to 'catch the perfect moment'.
