Tom Petkus is an English film photographer, based-in Brighton but originally from a small town of Mazeikiai in Lithuania. "My endeavour into photography began after one of the most heart-breaking events in my life that made me view sadness and loneliness in a different light- not viewing these emotions as something entirely negative but as fundamental and almost necessary experiences in life that are the polar opposite of happiness." He says.
Tom shoots mostly portrait on film, especially black and white with multiple exposure photography. He loves to incorporate poetry from various poets into his work, "which helps to explain the content of my portraits".
