Marcelo Yáñez, a 17 year-old Puerto Rican based film photographer, is a recently graduated high school student who will become a new member of the art history program at New York University. He has been shooting film since he was around eight, then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, USA before got into the Impossible Project in middle of 2011.
Marcelo uses the Polaroid SX70 camera as his main equipment and his work is often focused on visual poetry. "I have the series of Polaroid poetry adaptations and the straight images with no manipulations." He says. "I have approached the creation of the image like a conceptual painting, building the scene layer by layer just as I visualize the imagery of the poem."
Hereafter are some amazing analogue photos which were shot by his Polaroid.
