Interesting Vintage Self-portraits from 1920

Below is a collection of 2 interesting self-portraits of the Byron Company's photographers posing together on the roof of Marceau's Studio in New York City. The photographs were taken in December of 1920 but we are not sure if they were shot on the same day or not. Studios such as Byron offered their hand to every imaginable commission; it is unknown if they foresaw the historical value that their images would hold in the future. There are over 23,000 Byron Co. prints digitized on the Museum of the City of New York’s Collection Portal.

Joseph Byron holds one side of the camera with his right hand and Ben Falk holds the other side with his left hand. The other photographers are Pirie MacDonald and Theodore C. Marceau. (via)
