After Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky, no surprise when the world has a lot of quality color photos from the early 20th century. However, color separation value gives only a method which is almost unused after 1916 due to its complexity. Therefore, the history of color photography in 20 years is associated almost exclusively with Autochrome, its grainy texture and far from perfect color reproduction.
Here are two of beautiful portraits of French-born American actress Claudette Colbert, circa 1920's.
