"Raumverdichtungen: Berlin" by Jan Herdlicka

Photography usually is used to give an exact image of what you see. "Raumverdichtungen: Berlin" (Space-Compressions) is a photo series contains multi-exposure black and white images on self developed film by Berlin, Germany based photographer Jan Herdlicka. With this series he wants to try out a different photographic approach.
"The images represent “the essence of memory”. If you think back to places you have been to, you won't be able to remember every detail. Things change in your mind, small details take a new form. Somehow a new place emerges which is unique in everyones memory," he says.
