Federica Bonanno - 5 things I love about Film

Federica Bonanno is a 19 year old photographer based-in Trieste, Italy. She's studying engineering at the university. Federica has started to take photos seriously 3 years ago when her mother gave her an old Canon AE-1 camera.
"And I love it at the first sight. I begin to have interest in analog photography, to try always some different type of films and also different type of cameras. I also have a Zeiss Ikon Nettar (medium format). Recently I've bought a Zenit 122 and I have other compact cameras," Federica says. "Even if developing films become always more expensive I'll never stop to shoot in analog. It's like a part of me. I love capture details, little moment of life and the sunset on the sea of my town."
Here's her 5 main reasons why she loves shooting film:

1. Emotion. Nothing is like receiving your films developed.

2. Patience. 36 frames oblige you to have patience and to be more accurate. You have to wait the right moment just not to waste a single photo.

3.Beauty. Also a wrong shoot has something beautiful inside. Overexposing or underexposing a photo can give unexpected results.

4.Light. Just analog cameras can capture light in a fair and wonderful way.

5. Truth. Loving analog photography means that you love the pure and simplest side of photography. Nothing is left to the camera, you're the only one who respond for the result.
