Michelle Fader (b.1987) works as a photographer and filmmaker in Tampa, FL. In her work, Fader often employs a cinematic aesthetic to present photographic vignettes within an unknown narrative. Solitary figures are a reoccurring motif, existing in states of awareness and vulnerability, as a presence of water connects each series as a significant metaphor for the subconscious.
Fader's recent work reconstructs memories based upon the artist's imagination and interest in the brain's eventual fabrication of long-term memory. Michelle Fader received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida in 2012 and has had work exhibited and awarded at the Tampa Museum of Art and Florida Museum of Photographic Arts.
